Bruce Kamusiime

Bruce Kamusiime is a nursing professional, medical educator, researcher, entrepreneur, and digital health educator committed to improving healthcare, nursing education, and research in Uganda. He holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Kampala International University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education (PGDME) from Metropolitan International University. His career combines clinical nursing, medical education, operational research, health consultancy, entrepreneurship, and digital health communication.

Bruce currently serves as a Nursing Education Officer, Nursing Officer, Health Tutor, and Research Consultant. He is a tutor at Mubende Answered Prayers School of Nursing and Midwifery, where he mentors nursing students and promotes evidence-based practice. He has previously worked with BMC Hospital Sheema, KCRC Hospital Sheema, Rwampara Medical Services, Mubende Regional Referral Hospital, and Metropolitan International University, gaining extensive experience in clinical care, education, mentorship, and healthcare quality improvement.

As an entrepreneur, Bruce is the Chief Executive Officer of Nurses TV 256, a digital health education platform on TikTok that delivers nursing tutorials, health awareness content, and professional development resources to thousands of learners. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Elyon Health Services, an organization focused on healthcare consultancy, research, and health service innovation. In addition, he owns www.nursingtutorsuganda.com, an educational platform that supports nursing and allied health students with academic resources and examination preparation.

An accomplished researcher, Bruce has conducted more than 40 operational research projects addressing healthcare service delivery and quality improvement. His published research on patient waiting time and its associated factors at BMC Hospital reflects his commitment to strengthening health systems through evidence-based solutions. His research interests include reproductive health, infection prevention and control (IPC), continuous quality improvement (CQI), maternal and child health, men's mental health, and nursing education.

Bruce has completed professional training and earned certifications in Research Methodology, Research Involving Human Participants, First Aid, Advanced Life Support, Infection Prevention and Control, Infectious Disease Management, Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI), Maternal and Child Health, Public Speaking, Soft Skills, and Research in Substance Use.

Beyond healthcare, Bruce is a skilled graphic designer proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign, creating educational and promotional materials. He is also a guitarist and keyboardist, reflecting his creativity and commitment to personal growth.
